March meeting
Oregon, USA, is renowned for its vibrant wine industry, particularly for its production of Pinot Noir. The state's diverse microclimates, fertile soil, and innovative winemakers have propelled Oregon wines onto the international stage. Pinot Noir, thrives in the state's relatively cooler climate and varied terroir and the wine from Oregon tends to be elegant, aromatic, and expressive, with flavours ranging from red berries to earthy undertones. With help from Jane Dooley, who presented some delicious wines from SW France last October, we will be in for a memorable pinot experience preceded by some zesty Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling and a Pinot Blanc. It promises to be an educational, edifying and entertaining experience.
